KJ-52 was home for one day and it was the day before his wife’s birthday. Yet KJ-52 found the time to talk for a little bit about his new CD, The Yearbook and so much more.
Check out audio clips from the interview at www.myspace.com/nappyspin Nappy: How’s life? You’re expecting a son? KJ-52: Yes I am, May 15 is the supposed due date, of course they say that never happens on the due date. Nappy: Is this is your first child? KJ: Yes, first kid. I actually ended up chronicling the whole thing on one of my new songs. It was one of those songs where I basically said, “You know what something like this is never going to happen again, your first kid.” And I thought what a better way to try to jot down everything I’m feeling at this point, even before we knew we were pregnant up to that exact point where we found that out. Nappy: Why do you call yourself KJ-52? KJ: The KJ is just an old rap name that I abbreviated because it was a stupid rap name and I didn’t want to go by it anymore. The 52 is a reference to the 5 loaves and 2 fish in John 6:9 that talks about Jesus taking what a little boy had to offer and using it, multiplying it. For me it is the best way to always remember that God did it, not me and that He’s always the one in the process of doing it. He took the loaves that I had and multiplied it. I’m still in awe of where I am to this day. Nappy: Your new CD The Yearbook comes out April 10th, what can we expect from your new album? It has around 19 tracks! KJ: Yea, it has 19 songs. It’s the first record that I’ve basically self produced all of it except for two tracks. From a musical stand point you could say it’s exactly what I |

20 Steps to Creating a Successful Blog for Your Band (Part 2 of 2) - Ask people to subscribe. RSS feeds allow users to subscribe to your blog and receive an update when you add new blogs. This makes it convenient for readers so they do not need to check for blog updates. An alternative is to send the updated blog through email, so having both an email subscription and a RSS feed is necessary. Also, make the sign-up process simple and prominent. Display the RSS button everywhere and occasionally mention it in your posts to sign-up. The simpler the process to sign-up, the more chance the reader will go through with the process.

Nashville, Tennessee – April 24, 2008–-Bread of Stone visited Nashville for their first Gospel Music Week with their music and testimony reaching millions. Multiple Radio and TV media helped Bread of Stone share their personal message of living in a poverty stricken Muslim country. Revolution TV, Polish National Radio, and CVC-TV were joined by others whose audiences reach around the world. In addition to the band’s busy media interview schedule, Bread of Stone played on Monday, April 21st at the legendary B.B. Kings as part of a four-night benefit concert event. Over $2000 was raised for the Hands and Feet Haiti’s Project, a foundation that financially sponsors orphanages in Haiti, started by Audio Adrenaline. The band was surprised at the concert when awarded a plaque by Dave Koch of CRW. Their single “Letting Go” hit the #1 spot on the CRW IAA Chart. The debut single off their project of the same name continues to remain a strong presence on Christian radio. When asked about the song, Bread of Stone’s lead vocalist Ben Kristijanto says, “I wrote “Letting Go” after my own personal experience of surrender. It is a song about letting go of my pride and ambition, asking the Lord to take control of every aspect of my life.”
Bread of Stone consists of Ben Kristijanto (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Bill Kristijanto (lead guitar), Jeremi Hough (drums), and Tim Barnes (bass). For more information about Bread of Stone, please visit http://www.BreadOfStone.com.
